Copyright is a form of protection provided by law to the authors of “original works of authorship” including literary, dramatic, musical, computer software and artistic works and producers of cinematograph films and sound recordings, In fact, it is a bundle of rights including rights of reputation, communication to the public, adoption and translation of the work. The protection provided by copyright to the efforts of the writers, artists, designers, dramatists, musicians, architects and producers of sound recordings, cinematograph films and computer software, creators an atmosphere conductive to creativity. It is illegal for anyone to violate any of the rights provided by copyright law to the owner of copyright.
Requirement Detail & Documents for Registration:
  • A Power of Attorney on stamp paper valuable Rs. 100/- in our favor (Format will be provide by us)
  • Details of applicant such as:
    1. Name of Applicant (Proprietor/ Partners/ Director etc.)
    2. Company name
    3. Address of applicant/ Company/firm
  • Logos (in case of Artistic work/ Logo registration)
  • Books/ Brochure (in case of Literary work)
  • CDs (in case of computer software/ sound recordings/ cinematograph films)
Stages of Registration:
  • Make application form
  • Submission of application
  • Allotment of C. C. number (in case of artistic work/ logo registration for obtaining NOC)
  • Allotment of Diary number (in case of Literary work/ computer software/ sound recordings/ cinematograph films )
  • Issued an examination report
  • Replying of examination report
  • Issue of Registration Certificate

Periods or Validity:
Copy Right Registration is generally valid for 60 years after the life time of the author
Legal Action:
Both civil and criminal action can be taken against misuse of Copy Right registration.
