Requirement Detail & Documents for Registration:
- A Power of Attorney on stamp paper valuable Rs. 100/- in our favor (Format will be provide by us)
- Details of applicant such as:
- Name of Applicant (Proprietor/ Partners/ Director etc.)
- Company name
- Address of applicant/ Company/firm
- Photographs of article from every angles
Stages of Registration:
- Make application form
- Submission of application
- Allotment of application number
- Application examine by Patent and design office
- Issued an examination report
- Replying of examination report
- Issue of Design Registration Certificate
- Issue of Registration Certificate
Purpose & Benefit:
- Registered Design owns Brand value / goodwill
- Registered Design provides protection against misuse of Shape (Design) by third party
- Registered Design also motivates the sales by assuring the quality, quantity and genuineness of the product/ services
Periods or Validity:
The Registration of the design is valid for 15 years initially registered for 10 years and can be renewed for further period of 5 years.
Legal Action:
Both civil and criminal action can be taken against misuse of Shape (Design) after Design Registration.
